Quick Kitchen Clean-up Tips
The kitchen is the part of the house where you store and prepare the food that you eat. Therefore, you should always keep it clean to prevent germs and bacteria into contaminating the food that you serve your family. A clean kitchen demonstrates a healthy living environment for the family. Yet, cleaning the kitchen is easier said than done because the dirt that accumulates in this part of the house requires a lot of time and effort just to clean everything up.
What you can do to avoid accumulation of dirt in the kitchen is to perform preventive cleaning every now and then. Oftentimes, if the dirt in the kitchen stays there for a long time, there is a higher risk that the dirt will become harder to remove and it will permanently stick in an area in the kitchen. Thus, you should wipe or sweep off certain areas in the kitchen that are prone to accumulation of dirt.
During a general clean-up in the kitchen, you can start with the kitchen sink. The result of having a bright and shiny kitchen sink invigorates your momentum to clean-up the whole kitchen. After cleaning the kitchen sink, gradually move out through the room. Do not forget to include in your clean-up activity the kitchen cabinets installed on top of the sink, and the storage cabinets right below the sink.
Bedeck Bare Walls
A bare wall is a no-no for someone who is very creative and artistic. Upon the construction and refurnishing of a home, most people tend to leave it behind to give time to decorate their walls. Thus, the end result is having a whole wall filled with nothing which can oftentimes be an eye sore to those who see it. To prevent this from occurring in your own home, here are some simple things that you can do to bedeck your home’s bare walls.
You can buy paintings and put them in your walls for display. These paintings need not be the ones sold in very expensive price especially if you do not have the money to spend on that kind of luxury. On the other hand, if you have the talent in drawing and painting, you can even create your own masterpieces and show them off in the walls of your own abode.
Another option is that if you aim to enhance the functionality of your wall instead of just using it as a means of displaying stuff, you can install on-wall cabinets and shelves. If you do this, you increase your storage capacity inside your homes because even on your walls, you will be able to put and keep the things that you rarely use.
If you do not want to put accents in the wall but you do not want to leave it bare, you can just buy and put wallpaper that you like. With decorative wallpaper, your wall will not look gloomy and boring.
