To add a little decorative touch in your bed and bedroom, here are some simple headboard design concepts that you can consider. Most of these suggestions can be done on your own without the need of spending a lot of money to make it work.

You can hang an old quilt that you have kept in your storage room for a very long time. You can do this simply by spreading the quilt on the wall lying on top of the bed. Another way is to put the quilt in a frame before hanging it above the headboard.

If you are not into fabric decors, you can still use the abovementioned technique but with photograph or painting as substitute. A family portrait or a painting of a promising artist can be used for this kind of purpose.

A small cabinet or shelf can also be a good choice for your headboard design concept. The good thing about this choice is that it does not only add beauty to your bed, it also offers extra utility such that you can keep your important possessions right on top of the place where you sleep. A book shelf can also work well for this purpose.
